Scrapbooking Tips
Scrapbooking is fun and a great way to keep your photographs in order and enjoy the fun of embellishing and paper crafting. Perhaps the very best bit is that you can be as creative as you like and get to enjoy your efforts over and over again.
Although there are a plethora of scrapbooking supplies available to purchase you don't need a lot to get going. You own creativity is what is most important and if you are short on that, there is plenty to inspire you.
To get started all you really need is:
- an album
- some glue
- a pair of scissors
- some photographs or images that you like
- fabric, ribbon, or bits or craft scraps to embellish your scrapbook
As you get become more accomplished with your scrapbooking technique you will no doubt find yourself becoming more experimental and creative in your scrapbook layouts and the materials and tools that you seek out.

To make your life easier it is worth investing in some tools to help you.
Use a sharp craft knife and a cutting mat or trimmer (always be careful when using sharp tools)
Tweezers are great for picking up small embellishments or pulling off backing strips from tape or adhesive papers.

Adhesive products that may help you:
Glue dots
Double sided tape
Perhaps the greatest tip is to use acid free papers to prevent erosion of your precious memories
Scrapbooks can come in all shapes and sizes, but most commonly there are 8 x 8 inches or 12 x 12 inches and are ring bound for protection. Mini scrapbooks are a great gift idea and are a great way to give a totally unique gift that will always be treasured.
